DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Child Support Services recommends that the Board adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation recognizing Cindy Rafferty, Accounting Clerk III, upon her retirement from Solano County with over 26 years of dedicated public service in the Department of Child Support Services.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Cindy Rafferty began her career with Solano County on August 23, 1999, as an Accounting Clerk III with the District Attorney/Family Support Division, which later became the Department of Child Support Services (Solano County DCSS).

Mrs. Rafferty has been a valuable member of the department's Financial Case Management team where her superior organizational skills empowered her to excel in various aspects of child support accounting, ensuring the accuracy of the child support accounting records maintained by the department. In addition, during her tenure Mrs. Rafferty was the lead on several projects, including managing the record keeping for County and State Department of Child Support Services computer equipment and processing the department's Accounts Payables on a bi-monthly.

Mrs. Rafferty understood and embraced the importance of service excellence. Mrs. Rafferty was a valuable member of the Solano County DCSS Financial Case Management team and consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the mission of Solano County DCSS.

After 26 years of dedicated service to Solano County and to the members of its community, Mrs. Rafferty retires on June 9, 2026 and we wish her a long, healthy, and happy retirement.
