DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Human Resources (HR) recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve a plaque of appreciation honoring Meoshi Hayes, Human Resources Assistant, upon her retirement from the Department of Human Resources with over 17 years of dedicated service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Meoshi Hayes began her career with Solano County in the Human Resources (HR), Benefits Division as a Human Resources Assistant, Entry on January 16, 2007. On January 27, 2008, she was flexibly promoted to a Human Resources Assistant. Ms. Hayes transferred to the Recruitment and Selection Division on August 28, 2016.

During her tenure as a Human Resources Assistant, Ms. Hayes has made many contributions to the success of HR and the County. Her ability to foster positive relationships with staff and employees has contributed to a collaborative work environment, making her a key asset to HR and the County. Throughout her career, Ms. Hayes has demonstrated a strong commitment to employee benefits and the recruitment and selection processes. As a trusted resource for both employees and leadership, Ms. Hayes' expertise has helped guide the department with grace and competence. Her legacy of service, integrity, and excellence will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the County of Solano for years to come.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The cost associated with preparing the agenda item is nominal and absorbed by the Department's FY2024/25 Working Budget. The costs associated with preparation and purchase of the plaque are included in the Board's FY2024/25 Working Budget.
