DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Sheriff-Coroner recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Connie Wright, Office Assistant III, upon her retirement from the Sheriff's Office with over 23 years of dedicated service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Connie Wright began her career with the Solano County as a Clerk on December 20, 1993 and was promoted to Client Services Specialist on February 23. 1997. Her position was reclassified to Office Assistant III on April 4, 1999.
Connie provided administrative support to various areas of the Sheriff's Office during her career to include Records/Warrants, Professional Standards, Training, Alternative to Custody and the Custody division.
In addition to her normal duties, Connie volunteered, on many occasions, to assist with community events including, but not limited to, golf tournament fundraisers for the Sheriff's Emergency Response and K9Teams and the annual Solano County Peace Officer' Memorial service.
The resolution honors Connie Wright for her 23 years and 5 months of service and commends her dedicated service to Solano County.
Connie Wright's official last date of employment with the Sheriff's Office was May 12, 2017.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The cost of providing the plaque is included in the Board of Supervisors' FY2016/17 budget and, therefore, will have no additional financial impact to the General Fund.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board may elect not to award the resolution and plaque of appreciation; however, this is not recommended, as this is an opportunity to honor Office Assistant III Connie Wright for her 23 years and 5 months of dedicated serv...
