DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Child Support Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Rochelle Wroten-Taggart, Child Support Specialist, upon her retirement from the Department of Child Support Services with over 22 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Rochelle Wroten-Taggart began her career with Solano County on August 31, 1994 as a Clerical Support Specialist with the Department of Health and Social Services. Rochelle joined the District Attorney/Family Support Division, which later became the Department of Child Support Services as a Family Support Officer, in May of 1997. She promoted to Paralegal in June of 1998 and was reclassified to Child Support Specialist in January of 2017.

Rochelle was responsible for preparing cases for court hearings to either modify an existing order or to obtain a first time order by contacting the parties to gather the information the attorney would need for the hearing.

Rochelle demonstrated a willingness to learn and a desire to do the job well.

Rochelle attended court regularly and interacted with customers and court personnel in a professional manner.

Rochelle was adaptable to multiple organizational and computer system changes by continuing to produce quality work.

Rochelle has consistently demonstrated professionalism and dedication to the children and families of Solano County.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The cost of providing the plaque is included in the County's FY2017/18 Adopted Budget. There is no additional impact to the General Fund.
