DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends the Board adopt and present a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Lisa R. Rose, Accounting Clerk III, upon her retirement from the Welfare Administration Fiscal Issuance Unit with over 33 years of dedicated service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:

On May 1984, Lisa R. Rose began her career in H&SS Records Division as a Typist Clerk III preparing eligibility information for County clients. A few years later, Ms. Rose joined the Assessor's Recorder's Office where she assisted clients with their business license and vehicle assessment needs.

In 1988, Ms. Rose changed career paths becoming a Legal Procedures Clerk in the Vallejo Benicia Municipal Courts, Traffic Division, responsible for taking payments for traffic violations. In 1991, Ms. Rose was qualified for the Fiscal Clerk position and after a year, achieved that position and was responsible for summoning prospective jurors and interviewed clients requesting financial assistance.

Ms. Rose then rejoined H&SS in the Public Health Division where she was responsible for preparing billing statements for local hospitals. In 1999, Ms. Rose was reclassified to an Accounting Clerk III.

In 2000, Ms. Rose became part of the Welfare Administration Division, Electronic Benefits Transactions (EBT)/Fiscal Issuance Unit where she assisted hundreds of Eligibility Benefits Specialists case workers by issuing EBT cards, immediate need benefits and homeless assistance checks.
