DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

 

Supervisor Thomson requests that the Board adopt a resolution recognizing Adam Grabowski, member of Boy Scout Troop 484 in Vacaville, California, on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest award a member of the Boy Scouts of America can receive and represents many years of hard work and dedication. To become an Eagle Scout, one has demonstrated leadership, citizenship, and responsibility. Adam has earned his Eagle Scout rank by completing more than 500 hours of volunteer service in the community, with the City of Vacaville, the Leaven, Student Body Leadership, and more. Adam Grabowski has accomplished a great achievement in earning the Eagle Scout rank, to be awarded on September 5, 2017.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

 

There is no fiscal impact associated with this resolution.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

 

The Board could choose not to adopt this resolution. This is not recommended because this is an opportunity to recognize Adam Grabowski on achieving the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.
