DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends the Board receive a presentation on the Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan

SUMMARY:

Suicide is a nationwide public health crisis as the 10th leading cause of death for all ages, claiming over 44,000 lives annually and an average of 121 lives per day.
