SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Thomas Porter began his service with the Sheriff’s Office as an extra-help Correctional Officer on September 26, 1985 and was appointed as a full-time Correctional Officer Trainee on December 29, 1985. During his service as a Correctional Officer with the Sheriff’s Office, Officer Porter worked nearly every assignment within the three Solano County custody facilities. Officer Porter was a consummate professional while on duty; he consistently presented a pleasant demeanor and was committed to putting forth his best effort every day.

Officer Porter was a highly valued member of the Sheriff’s Office and will be greatly missed by his friends and coworkers. The resolution honors Officer Porter for his 32 years of service and commends his dedication and public service to Solano County.
