DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Chairwoman Erin Hannigan recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the reappointment of Lisette Estrella-Henderson, Solano County Superintendent of Schools, as the Member at Large to the First 5 Solano Children and Families Commission for a term to expire on March 3, 2023.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The First 5 Solano Children and Families Commission was established by the Solano County Board of Supervisors on June 8, 1999. The ordinance established a Commission with nine members, including one member at large. Chairwoman Erin Hannigan recommends that Lisette Estrella-Henderson, the Solano County Superintendent of Schools continue her appointment as the member at large for First 5 Solano.
Lisette Estrella-Henderson has been a resident of Solano County for over 30 years and an educator in Solano County for over 20 years, giving her particular insight into the communities she serves.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2018/19 Adopted Budget.
