DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Skip Thomson requests that the Board of Supervisors approve the reappointment of Donna Brown, Kathleen Mitsopoulos and Marlon L. Osum to serve on the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority Advisory Committee representing District 5.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Donna Brown, Kathy Mitsopoulos and Marlon Osum all have many years of experience serving Solano County residents who require additional assistance in their daily lives, including taking care of the elderly and helping provide emotional and physical support. They have previously served on the IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee for District 5 and are seeking reappointment.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2019/20 Adopted Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board may choose not to reappoint these individuals, however, this is not recommended, as they have all served successfully in this capacity and are passionate about serving their community again.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
No other agencies were involved.
