DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Director of Library Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and a plaque of appreciation honoring Tamie R. Tvrdik upon her retirement from the Department of Library Services with over 30 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Tamie R. Tvrdik began her career with Solano County on October 2, 1989, as a part-time Client Services Specialist in the County Administrator's Office. Ms. Tvrdik spent over 20 of her years of service with the Solano County Library and earned numerous promotions in her long and exemplary career, including Administrative Assistant, Office Coordinator, Administrative Secretary, and finally Clerical Operations Supervisor on February 15, 2004.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Tvrdik has provided excellent customer service and support to the residents of Solano County. She has also played a vital and essential role in supervising and providing clerical assistance to a wide variety of library services and programs throughout Solano County.

Ms. Tvrdik has demonstrated the highest commitment to uncompromising excellence in all matters related to public library service in Solano County.

Ms. Tvrdik retires on December 28, 2019, with over 30 years of outstanding service. She is greatly valued and will be missed by her friends, co-workers and colleagues in the Library community for her integrity, breadth of knowledge, and dedication to the highest ideals of Library culture.
