DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:

The Department of Health and Social Services (H&SS) recommends that the Board approve a plaque of appreciation honoring Noreen Kekich, Eligibility Benefit Specialist II, upon her retirement from the Employment & Eligibility Services (E&ES) Division and Solano County with over 13 years of dedicated service to Solano County.

SUMMARY

Noreen Kekich began her career with the Solano County Sherriff's department on June 26th of 2006 and after 4 years transferred to Health and Social services where she assumed the vital role of an Eligibility Benefits Specialist II in March of 2010.

Over the past 9 years, Ms. Kekich was a dedicated member of the Vacaville Multi Program Intake Unit, processing CalWORKs, Medi-Cal and CalFresh applications. During her tenure with Solano County Ms. Kekich has worked under the supervision of Amanda Pena-Haynes, Daniel Horel and Andrew Mendoza.

Ms. Kekich was been employed with Solano County for 13.5 years and her last day was November 30, 2019. Ms. Kekich was a dedicated Eligibility Benefits Specialist II worker that applied her acquired knowledge and experience assisting the less fortunate members of her community.

Ms. Kekich has made such a positive difference for many residents of Solano County and has significantly contributed to the department's success.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the department's FY2019/20 Adopted Budget. The costs associated with preparation and purchase of the plaque are included in the Board's FY2019/20 Adopted Budget.
