DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Information Technology recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Daniel Tolvtvar, Information Technology Manager, upon his retirement from the Solano County Department of Information Technology with over 21 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Daniel Tolvtvar started his career with the County of Solano working for the Department of Information Technology on October 26, 1998 as a Senior Systems Analyst. He was promoted to the Systems & Programming Manager role on March 13, 2005 and was later reclassified to Information Technology Manager on December 17, 2017.
Over the course of twenty-one years, Mr. Tolvtvar has been a highly respected and valued member of Solano County. He has been a contributing team member and manager, a hard worker, and a leader to the Department of Information Technology staff. His last day of service is December 27, 2019, and he will be greatly missed by his friends and coworkers.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item is nominal and absorbed by the department’s FY2019/20 Adopted Budget. The costs associated with preparation and purchase of the resolution materials and plaque are included in the Board’s FY2019/20 Adopted Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could choose not to adopt this resolution. This is not recommended as this is an opportunity to recognize Daniel Tolvtvar’s dedication and contributions to Solano County.
