DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Jim Spering requests that the Board approve the appointment of Robert Schuster to the Civil Service Commission of Solano County, representing District 3, for a term to expire on January 1, 2024.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Robert Schuster brings 30 years of experience to the Civil Service Commission of Solano County as a litigator, legal advisor, and problem solver. He currently serves as the President of the Board of the Rancho Solano Master Homeowner’s Association, and is looking to broaden his service to the community by representing District 3 on the Civil Service Commission.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The costs associated with preparing the agenda item are nominal and absorbed by the District 3 FY2019/20 Adopted Budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could decide not to appoint Mr. Schuster; however, this is not recommended as Mr. Schuster is qualified for this position.
