DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
Supervisor Hannigan requests that the Solano County Board of Supervisors accept the resignation of Dennis Yen and approve the appointment of Mike Coakley to the Solano County Fair Association Board of Directors, representing District 1, to the unexpired term set to expire on August 1, 2020.
SUMMARY:
Mike Coakley has spent 30 years working for AT&T and is now working in property management. Mr. Coakley has previously served of the Fair’s Board of Directors and is familiar with its operation and management.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
DISCUSSION:
Mike Coakley’s prior service as a member of the Solano County Fair Association’s Board of Directors makes him an ideal candidate to fill in this unexpired term.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Board could choose to not approve this item, but that would leave a vacancy on the Solano County Fair Association Board.

Supervisor Hannigan’s office communicated with the Solano County Fair Association.
