Conduct a Public Hearing to consider ALUC-20-07 (Vacaville Comprehensive Code Update) receiving a presentation from the City of Vacaville regarding their comprehensive revisions to their development code and setting December 10, 2020 for action on the compatibility determination.

DISUCSSION:
The City of Vacaville is in the process of completing a comprehensive update to their development code, which includes the City’s zoning regulations. These regulations will be before the Airport Land Use Commission for a consistency determination on December 10, 2020.
This update is extensive, and the City would like to make an introductory presentation on the general approach and scope for the changes to the zoning regulations prior to the formal hearing on the consistency determination. This hearing represents the first of two scheduled hearings on the City’s consistency determination. This presentation will introduce the Commission to the scope of the revisions and the methodologies utilized to address airport land use concerns. It provides an opportunity for the Commission to ask clarifying questions and suggest additional analysis the Commission would like to see when the consistency determination is brought back on December 10, 2020 for final action.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Commission:
1. Conduct the public hearing and receive the presentation from the City of Vacaville, and
2. Set a hearing at the Regular Meeting of December 10, 2020 for consideration and action on consistency determination ALUC-20-07.
