DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of General Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve a contract for $1,797,351 with OC Jones & Sons, Inc. to construct the Solano County Nut Tree Airport Northeast Hangar Taxilanes Reconstruction and Drainage Improvements Project, Phase 2B, and approve the Project plans and specifications; and
Authorize the County Administrator, or designee, to execute the contract and any subsequent amendments, with County Counsel concurrence and within the approved Project budget; and authorize the Director of General Services, or designee, to approve modifications to the Project plans and specifications during construction.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Department of General Services recommends that the Board approve a contract (Attachment A) for $1,797,351 with OC Jones & Sons, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, for the Nut Tree Airport Northeast Hangar Taxilanes Reconstruction and Drainage Improvements Project, Phase 2B (Project), located at 301 County Airport Road in Vacaville.
