DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Resource Management recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Director of Resource Management to solicit bids, award, and execute up to $8,038,000 for various Public Works construction contracts for the 2018 construction season; and
2. Authorize the Director of Resource Management to execute up to $60,000 in additional change order work for the Mankas Corners Improvement Project; and
3. Authorize the Director of Resource Management to award and execute up to $515,000 for environmental services, structural engineering, and construction engineering support contracts for Public Works projects through 2019.
SUMMARY:
The Department of Resource Management (DRM) has been working on the following projects which will be constructed/worked on in 2018:
1. FEMA Permanent Repair Project, with a project cost of $1,600,000;
2. Hay/Hawkins Road Improvement Project with a project cost of $2,600,000;
3. HSIP 8 Guardrail Project, with a project cost of $500,000;
4. HSIP 8 Striping Project, with a project cost of $1,750,000;
5. Cordelia Hills Sky Valley Improvements, with a project cost of $338,000;
6. On-Call Guardrail Repair Project, with a project cost of $200,000;
7. Rubberized Surfacing Project 2018, with a project cost of $1,050,000;
