DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health and Social Services recommends that the Board adopt and present a resolution and plaque of appreciation honoring Lyn Fuller, Social Services Supervisor in the Health & Social Services Department, Public Health Division, Older & Disabled Adult Services Bureau, upon her retirement with over 20 years of dedicated public service to Solano County.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION
Lyn Fuller began her career with Solano County on January 4, 1999 with the Department of Health and Social Services as a Senior Social Services Worker providing home visits, information, referral and case management services to eligible aged and persons with disabilities who were unable to remain safely in their own homes without the assistance of the In-Home Supportive Services program. Ms. Fuller also provided risk mitigation services through investigations of allegations of abuse for the Adult Protective Services program. Ms. Fuller developed close working relationships with staff in the County Counsel office and the Public Guardian program, developing a strong skill set for conducting investigations into the need for probate conservatorships, submitting petition referrals for probate conservatorships and providing case management to clients.
In November 2000, Ms. Fuller was reclassified to a Social Worker III where she was responsible for difficult casework dealing with highly complex individual and family problems of the In-Home Supportive Services and Adult Protective Services programs. In February 2006, M...
