DEPARTMENTAL RECOMMENDATION:
The Department of Health & Social Services recommends the Board of Supervisors approve 4 Napa/Solano Area Agency on Aging (N/S AAA) first contract amendments and one second contract amendment totaling $492,316 through June 30, 2020 for California Department of Aging for Planning and Services Area 28 Older Americans Act services; Authorize the County Administrator to sign the contract amendments; and Authorize the Director of Health and Social Services to execute amendments which are technical or administrative in nature and have no fiscal impact.
SUMMARY:
On February 25, 2020, the Solano County Board of Supervisors approved acceptance of a FY2019/20 revenue contract amendment for $492,316 with the California Department of Aging (CDA) to distribute funding and provide services for Planning and Services Area 28, the Napa/Solano Area Agency on Aging (N/S AAA). Funding distribution between Napa and Solano counties is based on the CDA percentages which are developed using multiple demographic factors for the over age 60 population in each county. The FY2019/20 funding distribution ratio is 26.51% for Napa County and 73.49% for Solano County.
